Michelle Kinney

Upon graduating from Syracuse University's Department of Drama in 2004, Michelle signed with a talent agent, and boarded the Amtrak for New York City with 3 suitcases and $200 in my checking account. After working for more than a decade as a professional actor and singer, she transitioned her photography talents into a second career in early 2011.

Michelle has recently been a contributor for Vice News, NowThis News, The Advocate Magazine, Mic.com, and OUT Magazine. Her photographs have appeared in publications such as Diverseability Magazine (cover & feature), The Washington Post, Washingtonian Bride and Groom, Time Out New York, and OUT Magazine.

Michelle also photographed the cover for “Find a New Dream” written and narrated by Maysoon Zayid, for Audible and Hello Sunshine.

Michelle is now a proud member of Professional Photographers of America, National Press Photographers Association, and Nikon Professional Services.
